What I Bought From The 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

When I shopped the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I looked mostly at contemporary brands that make fashion-forward but comfortable styles (usually under $500). I ended up keeping 18 items and returned about a dozen. Here’s what I kept and what I returned…

What I Bought And Kept

This year, I bought mostly shoes, elevated basics, and a few accessories. One of my favorite pieces is the Merino Wool Sweater Jacket made by Nordstrom. It has a nice structure to it, and can be dressed up with tailored pants or dressed down with jeans.

My jeans, by the way, are petite! There weren’t a lot of petite styles in this sale, but these Wide Leg Jeans (blue) and Bootcut Jeans (black) are both 28P (my usual size). They’re both by Paige, which tend to be extra long, but these were perfect heel-length for my almost 5’4″ frame.

Here’s the rest of what I bought and kept. I haven’t received the Frye boots or the Veronica Beard loafers, but the others are all in my closet waiting for fall weather!

Most years, I buy handbags too, but most of what I liked were similar to ones I already have. If you are looking for a new handbag, this Convertible Shoulder Bag, this Nylon Crossbody, and this affordable Leather Shoulder Bag all get good reviews.

The two handbags I ordered ended up in the return pile. You’ll see them below!

What I Returned

These are all the items that I ordered online and returned:

1. I loved the deep red of the AllSaints Alba Shoulder Bag, but it ended up looking too big on my petite frame. So I tried the smaller-sized Alba Crossbody Bag, but the one that I received had a strap that looked wrinkled. I decided there would be a better red handbag in my future!
2. I ordered the AllSaints Ryder Suede Jacket, and while I loved the quality and cut, it was lighter and less structured than what I was hoping for.
3. I thought these Burberry Sunglasses were so fun, but they just looked too big on me, so I opted for the Max Mara Oval Sunglasses.
4. I would have loved to have found a fall occasion dress, but this Ever New Floral Long Sleeve Midi Dress was too long for me. If you are over 5’4″it might work for you. The fabric is a crisp poplin so it’s perfect for early fall.
5. If you’ve been reading my posts, you know that I’m a huge fan of Kut from the Kloth, but the Kelsey High Waist Kick Flare Jeans felt a little thin to me, and I thought the waistband might stretch out. So, I ended up with two Paige jeans, which were more expensive, but feel a little heavier and more structured.
