2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview is live! Unlike other sales, which mark down merchandise at the end of a season, this is a sale on new arrivals for the upcoming fall season. While you can’t shop during the preview, you can start to plan your purchases. (Access to the sale depends on whether you are a Nordstrom Cardmember and on your past spending there.) Here’s what I recommend for women over 40 and what you need to know to make the most of the sale…

2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview- Women’s Fashion

Most of what you’ll find during the NSale is fall merchandise, but if you’re not ready for fall or if you live somewhere warm, you can also shop for warm-weather items. You’ll find t-shirts, sandals, and all-year items like bras, pajamas, and underwear.

T-shirts, Tops And Sweaters

A couple of years ago, I bought the AllSaints Stevie Organic Cotton Tee in white – I’ve worn it so much that I may need to replace it. It’s a nice fitted, cropped tee. I’m also looking at the Marine Layer Rib Long Sleeve Tee, which is similar.

If you’re looking for a blouse, I bought an older version of this Rails Button-Up Shirt last year. It is so soft (made in 100% Lenzing™ EcoVero™ viscose) and comfortable! You can dress it up with tailored pants or dress it down with jeans. This fun horse print Blouse is similar and also a part of the sale.

If you’re looking for a sweater, take a look at this adorable Barbour Cotton Cashmere Dog Sweater. And if I didn’t already have two of them, I would buy a Nordstrom Cashmere Sweater. I wear them often in the fall, winter, and spring.

Bottoms

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a great time to buy jeans, especially designer jeans that you wouldn’t buy at full price. It looks like saturated colors (chocolate brown and dark blue), wide leg styles, low rise, and raw hems are going to be popular this fall.

I bought my first pair of Mother Jeans a couple of years ago, and they were worth every penny! The Kick It High Waist Straight Leg jeans and The Brookie Bootcut jeans are a part of the NSale this year.

If you are looking for dressy pants and skirts, take a look at the Nordstrom Suede Midi Skirt or the Vince Check Bias Slip Skirt.

And if you are looking for more loungewear, the popular Spanx AirEssentials Wide Leg Pants is a part of the sale!

Dresses

Looking for dresses for fall events and parties? The Staud cotton Fit And Flare Dress and the Cinq A Sept Belted Denim Dress are both cute for the end of summer and early fall. Add a cardigan or jacket to wear them when it cools down.

If you prefer a long-sleeved dress, the Ever New Long Sleeve Floral Dress (69% Tencel™ lyocell, 16% nylon, 15% linen) has a beautiful placed floral on a dark brown background.

Last year, I bought a long-sleeve midi wool and cashmere dress that I wore a lot in the fall and winter. This year’s version by Nordstrom is a Short Sleeve Wool & Cashmere Dress. If you live in the Northeast as I do, you’ll get a lot of wear out of your sweater dresses! Just add some knee-high boots and a cute coat!

For a special occasion, take a look at Steve Madden’s Satin Teal Halter Neck Dress.

Jackets And Coats

I found a huge selection of gorgeous jackets and coats in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview. It looks like plaid coats, utility jackets, military jackets, and colorful raincoats are trending.

If you’re looking for jackets for work, take a look at the Nordstrom Merino Wool Sweater Jacket and the Rag & Bone Marlow Jacket. Both would look good with tailored pants and a short-sleeve sweater.

For warmer fall days, take a look at the Rails Cotton Blend Utility Jacket. I bought the Rails Alma jacket last year during the Anniversary sale and wore it in the fall and spring. It became my favorite travel jacket because it was so lightweight (and had lots of pockets!)

If you’re looking for raincoats, try The North Face Water Repellent Parka or this coated Seasalt Cornwall Linen Cotton coat or this Reversible Coat.

There is a huge selection of wool blend coats for fall and winter. My favorites are this double-breasted Wool Blend Cropped Coat, this Lauren Ralph Lauren Wool Blend Coat, and this Andrew Marc Belted Coat.

Pajamas & Underwear

If you’re not ready for fall fashion, consider refreshing your pajamas and underwear. I’m looking at the Wacoal Perfect Wireless T-Shirt Bra. If you prefer a wired style, I have this Natori Underwire Bra.

Nordstrom’s Moonlit pajamas are also a part of the sale again. I have the Long Sleeve Moonlight Pajamas, but I tend to run hot these days, so I’m considering the Eco Cropped Pajamas! If you’re looking for something more feminine, this year’s sale includes a line of lace and satin sleepwear.

Petite Clothing

Sadly, I’m not seeing a lot of petite clothes in the2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview. Here are five that I’m considering:

If you’ve been thinking about barrel jeans, take a look at the Wit & Wisdom Barely Barrel Leg Jeans, which have a subtle barrel shape. Wit & Wisdom’s Cotton Pants are a nice casual alternative if you don’t need jeans.

NIC + Zoe’s Ruffle Neck Striped Shirt and Embroidered Poet Top both come in petite sizes. And if you’re looking for a sweater, take a look at the Sanctuary Cropped Cardigan.

Shoes And Boots

I found everything from summer sandals to winter boots at the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview. Birkenstock’s Arizona Big Buckle sandals will be available in pink, baby blue, and white. I have two pairs, one in black leather and the other in a chocolate raffia texture.

Mary Jane sling backs are a trend I haven’t seen before. Take a look at the Stuart Weitzman Mary Jane Sling Backs or similar Vince Pointed Toe Sling Backs, both a part of the Anniversary Sale.

Ballet flats are very versatile, and if you don’t already have a mesh pair, take a look at the Vionic Mary Jane Flats and the Veronica Beard Perforated Mary Jane Flats.

My favorite ankle boots in the sale are the Margeaux Downtown Boot and my favorite loafers are the Tory Burch Loafers.

Handbags

I’ve found some gorgeous crossbody bags in the Anniversary Sale. Most are convertible so you can also wear them as shoulder bags or handheld bags.

Last year I bought this Veronica Beard Bucket Bag in navy. It will be available this year in Olive. It’s the perfect medium-sized suede handbag for your everyday essentials. You can hold it by the handles or use the cross-body strap to be hands-free.

The Coach Crossbody Leather Bag (a Nordstrom exclusive) and the Tory Burch Convertible Handbag are two classic designer bags worth looking at. Rag And Bone’s Convertible Bag is another simple style with a couple of styling options.

I don’t usually see Staud bags in the sale, but this year their Suede Crossbody Handbag is available. It comes in tan or olive suede.

Jewelry And Accessories

If you are looking for jewelry and accessories, the NSale has some gorgeous options in contemporary fashion jewelry and designer sunglasses.

You know I’m a huge fan of Monica Vinader jewelry, so I’ll be adding a few pieces to my wishlist, including the Altla Slim Rectangular Hoops and the Freshwater Pearl Drop Earrings. I also have some Jenny Bird earrings that I wear all the time, so I’m looking at the Mini Paige Puff Earrings.

I’m not familiar with Otiumberg, but I really like the 14K Gold Vermeil Fluid Pebble Necklace.

For designer sunglasses, take a look at the Prada Sunglasses and Doir Oval Sunglasses.

Beauty

Honestly, I don’t buy a lot of my beauty products from Nordstrom, but I did find a lot of skincare and wellness tools that I’m adding to my wishlist!

I’ve been using my Solawave red light wand for the past year but I find that it takes a little effort, so I’m considering Therabody LED Mask, a cordless mask that you can put on and relax with. I’m also curious about the Higher Dose Sauna Blanket and Red Light Hat (which supposedly stimulates hair growth).

I’ve heard good things about the Miko Foot Massager – I currently use a tennis or lacrosse ball to massage my feet!

I did buy this I this Makeup Brush Set last year and have been using it almost daily.
