My Santorini Thera Dress Review
If you’re looking for a casual dress to wear this summer, check out the Santorini Thera Dress by Athleta. I have two that I wear on summer weekends, and almost always take on vacations. Want to know why? Here’s my full review of the Santorini Thera dress.

The Style And Size Options
The Santorini Thera Dress is a mini dress with a fitted top and flared skirt. It has a high neckline and cutaway arms. I’m wearing the regular small size which falls just a few inches above my knee (I’m 5’4″). The curved seams under the bust and around the back make this more than just your ordinary tank dress.
If you’ve struggled with low necklines on summer dresses, you’ll love this style. Not sure if it’s the right length for you? Check out the “see how it fits” tab on the Athleta website to see this dress on various models. The regular size is available in XXS-3X. This style is also available in Tall and Petite sizes.
You will need to wear a racerback or strapless bra with this dress but otherwise, it’s an easy pull-on -and-go style.
The Fabric
The Santorini Thera Dress is made with a 97% TENCELโข Modal/3% Spandex blend fabric. The fabric is incredibly soft and breathable. It’s not sheer but because it is very lightweight so I recommend wearing it with seamless underwear. (I wear these.)
How does it hold up in the wash? I have one that I bought three years ago that had no signs of pilling, stretching, or other signs of wear. You can machine wash and dry this dress but if you prefer air drying, it dries fairly quickly.
The Colors And Prints
Athleta has been making this style for a couple of years, sometimes in prints, but also always in solid colors. Mine is in Iceplant Pink, but if you don’t like the current color options, hang tight, they come out with new colors often.
How To Style The Santorini Thea Dress
There are so many ways to wear this dress. It looks good with sneakers, sandals, ballet flats, wedge heels and more! Here are some of the ways that I wear it:
Dress + Flat Sandals
I often pair this dress with flat sandals like my Tory Burch Miller Cloud Sandals or my Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle Slides.

Dress + Linen Shirt + Flip Flops

To keep the sun off my shoulders, I wear a linen shirt over this dress. Mine is the Perfect Linen Shirt from Banana Republic. I think it would also look cute with this short-sleeved Ruffle Trim Shirt (unbuttoned). My rattan handbag is from a few years ago but this one is similar and currently available.
Dress + Crochet Cardigan + Flip Flops

On a cooler day, I keep my crochet cardigan on hand to add texture and style to my outfit. Crochet has been trending for a few years and continues to be popular this summer. My white sweater is no longer available but GAP currently has it in off-white and black.
Let me know how you would style the Santorini Thera Dress!

Thank you, Kristy! I love pink too. I bought some shorts and a jacket in the same color for my summer vacation capsule. And you’ll have to come up North for some cool air soon! xo Nipa
You wear it beautifully, Nipa! That pop of pink speaks to me! ๐
Personally, I adore the crochet sweater with the dress & can only dream of living somewhere where I don’t have to pack away my cardigans for half of the year!
Wonderful review.
