Argyle Is In Fashion Again
The argyle sweater is a classic piece in a preppy outfit, but this year I’m seeing fashion variations that look elegant, romantic, whimsical, and fun. Beyond the classic tri-color argyle, I’m seeing new color combinations and oversized patterns. And in addition to the usual sweaters and socks, I’m seeing argyle dresses, skirts, and accessories…
Argyle Dresses
My argyle dress is available at Boden and at Nordstrom (I’m wearing a regular size 4). It’s a fitted dress with a zippered front that makes it a little more relaxed. I love that the navy diamonds widen into solid color at the bottom of the skirt; it’s a fun little detail that makes the dress more interesting. The fabric is a machine-washable blend of 62% Viscose (LENZINGβ’ECOVEROβ’) and 38% polyester.

Oversized Argyle Patterns
The classic preppy outfit is an argyle sweater with chinos or a pleated skirt, and simple jewelry. This year, make it work for your personal style.
