5 Spring/Summer Color Combinations To Try
As the weather warms up, I find that I crave color! So I love diving into color trends and coming up with combinations that look fresh and fashionable. Here are some colors I’ve been trying, and how to adapt each one into a spring or summer color combination that works for you…

Baby Pink + White + Light Tan

How To Make It Yours…
If you have a pair of white jeans or pants, add a baby pink top and tan accessories for a spring/summer color combination that never goes out of style. Looking for a new pair? I’m wearing an older version of these Spanx Cropped Twill Pants. which have a tummy smoothing panel.
My top is a J.Crew Cashmere T-shirt as it’s still 50°F here in the mornings! If it’s warm where you are, try one of these linen or cotton tops.
I also love the baby pink/bright pink combination of this relaxed cotton blouse, so if you prefer a brighter pink, take a look! If you have a warmer skin tone, look for a baby pink that leans towards peach. You can also swap the white jeans for ecru ones.

Light Blue + Espresso + White
Dark brown has been trending for a few years now, and it isn’t going away anytime soon! This popular color is now showing up in a very dark shade, more of an espresso than the chocolate and mocha shades that we’ve seen over the past couple of years. If black looks too harsh on you, try dark brown instead.

How To Make It Yours…

Green + Cobalt Blue + Ecru
Green is another trending color this year, especially jade, chartreuse, and emerald green. Brighter blues are also popular this year, especially cobalt blue, and pair nicely with green. I picked one of my bright blue jeans and added a splash of cobalt with my printed handbag. Cream shoes would have worked with this outfit, but since my handbag also has pink flowers, I wore my pink sandals.

How To Make It Yours…
If you have warmer undertones in your skin and hair, chartreuse or olive green might be a better fit for you. Keep the bright blues away from your face or in a print. Here are some warmer green options:
Butter Yellow + Light Blue + White
Striped Tee / Shorts / Sandals
Butter yellow is back again this year. I’m wearing this butter yellow striped top with these shorts. My flip flops were a gift from the brand Oka-B (a few years ago). You may have seen their sandals at your favorite spa – they’re that comfortable! Mine are the Theresa flip flops with turtle charms and massage beads on the footbed. Note, these are heavier than your average flip flops.

Vermillion + White + Turquoise
Orange is a color we haven’t seen much recently, but it’s huge for spring/summer! Burnt orange and vermillion seem to be the most popular, but look out for light tangerine too.
Orange isn’t a color that flatters me, but I love it, so I wear it in prints and accessories. I bought this printed blouse at a local store, as I loved the combination of orange and turquoise.
How To Make It Yours:
Try orange and turquoise in a print as I have, or go bold with solid pieces in each color. You can also pair an orange shirt with bold turquoise jewelry.
