Fall Fashion At LOFT (2024)
I popped into my local LOFT store earlier this week to check out their early fall fashion. I love that LOFT makes current fashion trends wearable and affordable. They also have a wide range of sizes including petite, tall, 00 to 20/22. If you’re looking for classic, relaxed, easy-care clothing, take a look at my favorite picks from their fall new arrivals.

Fall Dresses
For fall, LOFT has a nice variety of dresses that are fashion-forward but not trendy.
I tried on this Dotted Dolman Midi Shirtdress which would be lovely for a night out, brunch, or Thanksgiving. I’m wearing my usual size 4, though I probably could have worn a 2 or a 4P as it’s quite a roomy dress.
Wear this now with strappy sandals and a straw handbag, and later with a cardigan and ballet flats.

This style is also available in a chic diagonal Stripe.
I also tried on their Ponte Seamed Tank Dress in a size 4. Ponte is a heavy knit fabric (this one is 66% Rayon/29% Nylon/5% Spandex) so it’s better for cooler days or airconditioning. The flare on this dress starts at the lower hip, so it was a little snug around my belly, but if you’re tall it will fit differently on you.
You can wear this with flat sandals and a denim jacket for a casual look or with heels and a cropped blazer for a more dressy look. It also comes in a wine color (a.k.a. dark cherry) predicted to be a fall favorite this year.

Pants And Skirts
LOFT has a variety of skirt styles from mini to maxi, fitted to flowing. This Midi Utility Pocket Skirt was my favorite! I’m wearing my usual size 4, but I think this size runs big. I ordered the 2 and the 4P online to compare.
It’s made in a mid-weight cotton stretch fabric with a soft brushed texture. It comes in leaf green (I’m seeing this color everywhere right now) and a neutral sand color. This one is selling out quickly online so if you want it, don’t wait.
You could wear this skirt now with a tank top and flip-flops, dress it up with a short-sleeved blouse and flats, or change the look by swapping the belt with a leather one.

You might also like this Denim Pocket Midi skirt which has a similar shape. It has patch pockets and a cute button detail.
If you’re looking for everyday pants, I really like these stretch cotton Utility Straight Pants for casual outfits and these Peyton Trousers for work or dressy outfits.
Fall Tops
Elevated basics are still on trend this year, and this t-shirt is a perfect example. It’s heavier than your average t-shirt and has subtle draping at the shoulders as well as a bubble hem. I couldn’t decide between the Deep Burgundy and the White so I bought both. I’ll show you some outfit options in a future post!

Looking for a short-sleeved t-shirt? This Elastic Waist Peplum Tee is a well-designed example of the peplum trend as it doesn’t add a lot of bulk to your belly and hips. It’s a 100% cotton t-shirt that you can wear under jackets and blazers on those fall days that start off cool and end up hot.
I’m also seeing more wrap tops this year, including this 100% cotton Poplin Wrap Shirt in a crisp white. Cropped shirts are still popular, like this Modern Utility Shirt.
Another trend (that’s back from the 80s) is the preppy school uniform trend, including striped Rugby Shirts and Tipped Sweaters.
Fall Fashion Accessories At LOFT
I picked up this Leather Zip Pouch when I was shopping at the store, convinced (given the price point) that it would be faux leather. But it’s actually a soft pebbled leather. You can use it to organize the matching Crossbody Tote Bag or as a makeup bag.
If you’re looking for affordable fashion jewelry, LOFT has bow earrings and a Rectangle Hoop Set both jewelry trends that started last year and are still going strong.
Another fun twist on the basics is the Draped Tee. This one comes in a rich blue-green and in white.

So what am I planning to keep for fall? Definitely the Midi Utility Pocket Skirt and the Bubble Hem Tee. I’m also thinking about the leather pouch to use with one of my tote bags.
What would you buy from the LOFT fall fashion new arrivals?

Love to see what you picked. I really do love that green utility skirt, but I wouldn’t know whether to get a 2 or 4. Did you find it true to size, or bigger in the hips and waist. There used to be a Loft near us, but they were moved out of the shopping center. I am loving olive and burgundy for Fall.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Jess, I thought this skirt ran big. I’m usually a 4 or 4P, pear-shaped and a size 28 in most jeans – and the 4 was loose around my hips and belly. The 2 is a little snug around my waist so I’m waiting for the 4P to arrive in the mail. I hope this helps you choose your size. xo Nipa
