My First 5 Casual Spring Fashion Purchases (In 2024)

I don’t usually shop so early for spring but I couldn’t resist these casual spring pieces that are wonderful basics for 2024.

1. Blue Dress

After wearing burgundy in the fall, red during the holidays, and pink around Valentine’s Day, I think we’re all ready for some blues! I’m seeing various shades of blue for spring, including classic navy, dusty blue, and royal blue. Denim and chambray dresses are casual spring options that are also trending in 2024.

Royal Blue

I just bought this fun Mini Swing Dress. It’s a size S and I am just under 5’4” so if you are taller, you may want to consider wearing it with opaque tights or leggings.

Leggings

I don’t think leggings ever went out of style, but they seem to be making fashion headlines again. You’ll see tights, mini-flares, flares, cropped, capris-length, and split-hem leggings in stores this year.

I just bought these super soft Mini Flare leggings. I plan to wear them for yoga and Pilates but they feel so good, I probably will wear them to run errands too.

If you’re looking for leggings for work or to go out, look for Ponte Knit pants. Ponte is a heavy stretch fabric, so they look like pants but feel like leggings.
