Valentine’s Day Fashion You’ll Wear Again (And Again)

January 15, 2026January 15, 2026 Fashion

Valentine’s Day fashion collections are so cheerful and fun that it’s hard resist the temptation to buy something. But, we don’t want to buy clothes that we’ll only wear once a year, right? So, here’s what I’ve bought that I plan to wear beyond February 14th, and some other styles that are also versatile…

Disclosure: this post includes affiliate links/images which enable me to earn a small commission (at no additional cost to you).

Crewneck Graphic T-shirt

When I went to the mall the other day, I couldn’t turn around without seeing a Valentine’s Day graphic t-shirt, especially at fast fashion and teen stores. I wasn’t planning to buy one until I tried this Ribbed Crewneck T-shirt and realized that it was a nice replacement for my white crewneck t-shirt, which had stretched out at the neck. (My pants are the Seasoft Mid Rise Straight pants from Athleta)

I usually wear an XS or S, but I needed to size up to an M in this style. I wear it with sweatpants and a hoodie on casual days, and with jeans and a jacket when I want to look more polished.

And because I’m a New Yorker, the graphic works for any time of the year. The crewneck is also perfect for wearing under sweaters, well beyond Valentine’s Day. I haven’t washed it yet, but it feels like heavy enough to hold its shape (and it’s not see-through).

Here are some other crewneck graphic t-shirts that are subtle…

Heart Print Scarf

While I was at LOFT, I also bought this heart print silk scarf (currently 50% off). What caught my eye first was the colors of this scarf. The deep red, black, and white are a classic combination that I know I’ll wear after Valentine’s Day.

My black leather jacket is so fitted that I can’t wear too many layers underneath so I think this scarf will add a pop of color without the bulk. I also think it will look nice with my black cashmere sweater, and dress pants.

Heart Charms

And I also bought this very affordable silk scarf necklace, which I’ll probably wear more in the spring (when it’s still snowing in Upstate NY and I’ll need some bright colors to lift my mood!) If it’s warm, wherever you are, these colors are a little more tropical.

I’ll wear it as a necklace using the clasp, or knotted around my wrist. I’m also planning to attach this to a handbag as a handbag charm.

The clasp and charm are attached with a knot, so you can take them off if you just want the scarf. You may also like this scarf necklace with multiple charms or this beach-theme one.

Just want the heart charm to use on your own scarf, or charm bracelet? Try this celestial charm or this gold heart charm. For your handbag, take a look at this leather heart charm and this beaded heart charm.

Heart Jewelry

Heart-shaped jewelry could be a post in itself, but I’ll narrow it down to some of my favorites. I just bought these demi-fine heart studs (14K gold over recycled sterling silver) to wear every day, and I have this heart charm necklace (gifted by the brand) that I wear all the time.

But if I were to buy something new, I would choose a bolder style like these Sterling Silver Drop Earrings, this Padlock Chain Bracelet, or this chunky heart chain. Bold and chunky jewelry is currently trending.

Heart Loungewear

If you’re having a cozy night in for Valentine’s Day or another day this winter, here are some heart-themed loungewear styles that you might like.

This Cool Nights Pajama Set has a sweet heart print. I’ve been wearing my Cool Nights pajama set for years! I also love my Cozy Earth Pajama Set – they currently have a heart print set in the same style and fabric. If you prefer cotton, take a look at this pink and white set.

This Heart Embroidered Hoodie adds a fun pop of color to a casual outfit. And this GAP sweater comes in neutral colors (witha. fixxy heart) for anyone who doesn’t love red or pink!

Have you bought anything from the Valentine’ Day fashion collections this year?

Comment BLOG if you'd like to see what I've found. As someone who doesn't like to wear heels most days, I love that ballet flats work with almost every outfit.

Bur I'm noticing chilly mornings and earlier sunsets, so I know that fall is around the corner. While I don't want to rush these last weeks of summer, I'm pretty excited to see those gorgeous fall colors.

Are you in summer mode or fall mode?
