Nordstrom carries some of the most popular designer brands in fashion, home, and beauty. They also have more affordable brands, including many of their own. Here are 12 affordable brands that you’ll find at Nordstrom and what I recommend from each one…

1. Nordstrom
The first (and most obvious) brand is the Nordstrom brand. You’ll find clothing, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories that are mostly under $100 (especially during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale). Some great buys include:
Miller Boots And Other Shoes
Last year, the Miller boots were a part of Nordstrom’s Calson® brand. I bought them in burgundy and wore them all fall and winter. They moved these Calson® Lug Chelsea Boots to Nordstrom Rack. This year, the Miller Boots have been updated with a zipper closure as the Miller 2 Water-Resistant Boots or Moto Boots. They’re practical, comfortable, and affordable staples for fall.
If you’re looking for something that you can also wear in warm weather, take a look at these Nordstrom Becca Pointed Toe Sling Back Flats. I tried these on at Nordstrom and loved them, but since they didn’t have my size in black, I bought a different pair (see botton of this post!)

Leather
If you’re looking for an affordable leather jacket, take a look at this slim leather Moto Jacket that’s available in beige, black, or blue. It’s a classic piece for fall that you can wear to work or dinner with tailored pants or to a casual event with jeans.
Pajamas
Nordstrom’s Moonlight pajamas are 91% Tencel® modal/ 9% spandex pajama sets. After admiring them for years, I bought these from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. (This print is currently sold out but there are plenty of other options!)
You’ll find these in a variety of styles, colors, and sizes.
Short Pajamas (short-sleeved top with shorts) in XXS to XXL as well as in Plus sizes 1X to 4X.
Eco Knit Pajamas (long-sleeve top and full-length pants) in XXS to XL as well as Plus sizes 1X to 3X.
Long Sleeves with Shorts in XXS to XXL as well as Plus in 1X to 4X.

To be honest, the Moonlight pajamas aren’t as soft and cooling as my bamboo pajamas, so I opted for a style that I can wear in the fall and winter.
2. Calson®
Closet Staples
Calson® is also a Nordstrom Made brand has a lot of closet staples like t-shirts, jackets, sweaters, and shirts.
I’ve only purchased a few Calson® pieces. The Miller boots which I mentioned above, were a great buy. I also bought this Casual Linen-Blend Shirt which is a really nice basic for summer and early fall.
This t-shirt, on the other hand, is one of the lower-quality items that I bought at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s a little thin and looks like it may stretch out. (I’ll let you know after I wash it!)
If you’re Shopping Calson® products, read the reviews for any items that you’re not sure about. (The stars can be a bit deceiving, sometimes reviewers give low rates for a product that arrived late – something that might not affect you).
This Utility Jacket is well-rated and is a good staple to have for the transition from summer to fall.
3. Zella
One of my favorite affordable brands at Nordstrom is their athleisure line, Zella. I have several leggings t-shirts and tops and they have become favorites in my closet. I don’t wear them to work out, but I do wear them on active days (i.e. watching our teens do their various sports is quite a workout!)
This year, I bought the Ottoman Knit Pullover which I’m planning to wear with leggings in the fall and winter. It has a generous shape, so I sized down to an XS. Note that this is not a super-soft stretchy pullover. The fabric has a crisp, slightly heavy feel to it.
I also bought this Reverse Seam Top in my usual size small. It’s a bit too tight and cropped for me so I’m giving it to my teenage daughter (who loved the style!)
I also own and love the Pocket Joggers, Restore Soft Pocket Leggings, and Restore Flare Pants (not currently available, but these are similar).

4. Treasure And Bond
Treasure and Bond has a variety of casual and dressy styles. They often use organic cotton and other sustainable fabrics.
I bought this leather belt to add some color to my often all-black fall outfits! It’s a nice quality leather and a lovely muted pink color.
This Striped Cotton Shirt looks like a nice fall staple that can be dressed up for work or dressed down with jeans.
I also really like this Printed Smocked Blouse which is perfect for summer with shorts, and for fall with a cardigan or jacket.
5. BP
If you’re looking for affordable brands at Nordstrom for for teenagers and young adults, take a look at BP. I’ve been shopping this brand for my teenage daughter as they run true to size and start at XXS.
BP carries on-trend items like Cargo Pants and cropped Cardigans.
6. Halogen®
If you are looking for affordable workwear brands at Nordstrom, take a look at Halogen® which has a nice blend of classic and trendy items in regular and plus sizes. Most of the pieces are polyester or polyester blends so they’re easy-care (but not eco-friendly).
For an easy work outfit, take a look at the Button-Up Shirt, Wide Leg Pants and Windowpane Plaid Topper Coat.
If you’re looking for plus size fall pieces, take a look at this pretty Faux Wrap Dress and this Check Button-Up Shirt.
7. Open Edit
Open Edit is one of the newest of the affordable Nordstrom brands covering mens, womens and kids clothing and accessories. My take on it is that it’s trendy and young, so if yu’re looking for affrodable, on-trend pieces you’ll like this brand.
I like the Vented Flare Pants XXS to XL and the Plaid Corset Blazer.
8. Chelsea28
If you’re looking for an affordable dress, take a look at Chelsea28.
I like the Ruffle Sleeve Midi Dress for summer and the Long Sleeve Chiffon Dress for fall.
9. Thread & Supply
Therad & Supply is not a Nordstrom Brand. It’s a family owned brand based in California that makes comfortable, casual clothing. It has a youthful, laid-back vibe.
I bought this cropped vest to wear in the fall. This Thread & Supply style has sold out but this Santuary one is curently avilable.
If you don’t already have an oversized plauid shacket (so trendy last year0, take a look at this Therad & Supply Polar Fleece Shacket.
10. Santuary
Santuary is another family owned brand from California with a casual but trendy style. I’m loving their current selection of prints includig this blouse that I bought to add some color to my closet.
I laso love this Foliage print and this Enchanted print both of which work for summer as well as the transition into fall.
11. Madewell
If you don’t have a Madwell store near you, take a look at their collection at Nordstrom. Nordstrom carries many of their basic t-shirts, sweaters and jeans. They also carry some dresses and jewelry.
If you shop their sales, you can find Madewell jeans under $100. I bought the Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Jeans. They are a really nice basic 90s style (also available in Plus sizes). They were a little high-waisted for my short torso but if you are looking for a traditional, nice-quality jean, it may work for you.
For another 90s look, check out these high waist, Wide Leg white jeans with a pleat front yoke.
12. Vionic
If you’re looking for comfortable well-made shoes, take a look at Vionic. I bought these Square-Toe Sling Back Flats (currently under $100 during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale) to wear to dinner in NYC where I needed to be able to walk a lot in dressy shoes. I love the cushioned, contoured footbed.
These loafers are also a really nice fall staple. They come in black, cream and leopard print. The gold chain detail elevates these shoes from basic to elegant.
